Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the Mac & Cheese, mozzarella, 2 tbsp. of breadcrumbs, garlic powder and onion powder until fully combined.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and portion 8 mac bites with a #20 scoop or ice cream scoop.
  4. Form each ball one at a time into a hockey puck shape and set aside, keeping them refrigerated while you prep the other components.
  5. In 2 separate bowls, place the all-purpose flour and 2 cups of breadcrumbs.
  6. In a 3rd bowl, crack the eggs and add the milk, whisking until fully incorporated.
  7. Going one bowl at a time, coat each mac bite in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumbs.
  8. In a small pot, preheat the vegetable oil to 325°F.
  9. Fry the breaded Mac & Cheese bites 2 at a time for 4-5 minutes.
  10. Remove the bites from the oil and place on a paper towel.
  11. Season with salt to taste and serve.

Or, Try This

  • Find your favorite dip to dunk the bites into – may we suggest Panera Creamy Tomato Soup or one of our Ranch dressings, either classic Ranch or Chipotle Ranch?
  • Swap the garlic and onion powder for your favorite seasoning to make it your own.
