Get the Most from Your Leftover Bread

Don’t let that day-old baguette or extra loaf go to waste. Here are some fun and easy ideas for turning leftover bread into simply delicious meals.

Make your own croutons

Cut bread into cubes, toss with olive oil, salt and pepper, and scatter on a baking sheet. Bake at 300°F until golden brown (about 10 minutes). Croutons made from our artisan Multi-Grain, Semolina, or Sourdough bread make wonderful toppings for salads, like a tasty Mediterranean Chop Salad. Also great on soups, like our delicious Creamy Parmesan Chicken & Orzo Soup.

Create crostini

Crostini are a fun way to turn day-old baguette slices into crispy appetizers. To make your own, slice a French Baguette or Multi-Grain bread into ¼-inch rounds and brown on a baking sheet in a 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes. Then add a few simple ingredients to make delicious Turkey Artichoke Crostini or Sirloin & Gorgonzola Crostini.

Toss in a Greek Panzanella salad

Panzanella is an Italian name for a traditional Tuscan bread salad, made with leftover bread and ripe tomatoes. Try this savory spin, tossed with cubed French Baguette and our zesty Greek Dressing.

Craft crumbs

Take a few slices of leftover bread and pulse them in a food processor. Store in the freezer and add to dishes for extra flavor or a crispy topping. Try sprinkling over Tomato Bacon Mac & Cheese and bake until crunchy brown.

When you start with great tasting bread, with a little inspiration that leftover loaf makes a versatile ingredient that can make any meal better.
